This photograph of Todi’s Piazza del Popolo was taken from the steps of the Cathedral, which before the 15th century had stood more centrally in what was then a much larger piazza. At the other end, on the left, are two palaces that today between them house the Museo e Pinacoteca di Todi, where you can find out all about the extraordinary history of this ancient city, right back to the days of the Etruscans.
