STILL PLASTIC, AFTER ALL THESE YEARS

Being a rather elderly chap and gardening for many years, I am still using plastic seed trays, pots and labels that are well over 45 years old. They were well made and built to last. At Christmas my grandson asked what I wanted as a present.

“Buy a large paper potter,” was my reply. I now use this to recycle my daily newspaper and the seedlings love it and are fantastic.

I still use my seed trays and then transfer the seedlings into the paper pots. Looking through various gardening catalogues I cannot understand why so-called recycled and organic items are so expensive.
