Solar power has always been at the heart of gardening. Sunlight is, after all, the energy that makes our garden plants grow. In the last few years it has become very easy to convert that same sustainable energy into electricity and use it to light our sheds, charge our phones and tablets, and even charge our cordless gardening equipment. It’s less complicated than most people imagine, by no means unafordable, and there’s a lot of satisfaction to be had in a little of-grid independence and cutting back our reliance on fossil fuels.
