Holiday of the month VAL CANSICK STUDIO

Val Cansick Highland Colours, oil, 36x36in. (91.5x91.5cm)

Val Cansick has a lifetime’s experience in art and her art courses have been helping people to paint for many years. She runs courses and workshops from her studio in Hall’s Green, with a ‘Don’t Give Up’ philosophy! Val is keen to help everyone to improve their drawing and painting skills whilst reaping the psychological benefits creative pastimes have. It’s the perfect place for anyone wishing to start painting again after a long absence. It is also ideal for complete beginners as well as more experienced artists wishing to improve or problem solve those irritating recurring errors. Classes are very small – a maximum of four people – to ensure plenty of individual tuition.

Val’s courses take place in a relaxed atmosphere that ensures fast and effective solutions for frustrated artists or regular painters struggling with perspective, artists’ block, or any other aspect of drawing or painting. ‘Solutions allow people to gain confidence, feel happier with themselves and motivate them to keep painting,’ writes Val. ‘In 2020 we will be adding our exciting new online ‘Art Made Simple’ video tutorial series. Full details will be launched on our website in March 2020.’ This series has been designed for those with no time or transport to attend studio classes and will come with a free introductory lesson for enquirers.
