Pentecost column praise

Ron Ferguson’s inspiring article on the birth of Christianity is like a breath of fresh air among all the doom and gloom outlook on the future of the Church of Scotland.

I must admit to never having considered Pentecost in that light. ‘There needs to be a rebirthing of our dreams’, Ron advises. A spiritual renewal, or revolution, does seem to be the only answer to resolving all the problems within the Church, and throughout the world. The most obvious definition of Pentecost is ‘influence of the Holy Spirit’, which is surely still alive, even in today’s troubled world; otherwise all Churches would be dead or dying.
