SUPERCHARGE UBUNTU
The well-oiled Ubuntu team has put out yet another Ubuntu release. Ubuntu 16.10, codenamed Yakkety Yak, is chiefly made up of incremental changes. The developers are focused on the next iteration of the underlying core components that will pave way for the distribution’s (distro) move to multiple devices. While you can’t argue against Ubuntu’s rock solid underpinnings, the distro as a whole isn’t as suave as it was in its early days, it has lost some of its lustre in its quest for stability. Ubuntu is perhaps one of very few distros that are both loved and loathed in equal measure. While you can’t deny it
brings in new users; it’s also guilty of turning away long-time users with its esoteric choices. The Ubuntu distro wears a look that you wouldn’t find on any other distro in the realm. in the realm. In the battle of usability and
malleability, the Unity desktop tips the scale in favour of the former.
