LONDON, ENGLAND
Time travel, dystopian worlds, artificial intelligence and the apocalypse converge this month in a multimedia sciencefiction extravaganza at London’s Barbican. New exhibition Into the Unknown: A Journey Through Science Fiction unwraps this experimental genre, beginning with a futuristic video installation by the ground-breaking team behind hit British TV show Black Mirror, and a cabinet of curiosities with drawings by the grandfather of sci-fi, Jules Verne. Exhibits include Jurassic Park film props and dinosaur models by Ray Harryhausen, Star Trek spacesuits, clips from Doctor Who and Back to the Future (pictured), and an original Darth Vader helmet from Star Wars.
