We’ve all experienced the fuzzy sound that alerts us to ‘fluff on the needle’. You may also have witnessed your tonearm skating across your beloved vinyl when the stylus becomes caked in gunk. Blowing onto the stylus will often remove a ball of fluff. However, it’s likely your stylus will still be far from perfectly clean.

There are many methods employed by vinyl enthusiasts to clean their stylus, some of which are delicate operations. Often, these methods can be risky; it’s not a good idea to scrape your fingertip across the stylus for example.
