After A Day In The Life brings Sgt. Pepper… to a rousing crescendo, with its “scary” (as Brian Wilson found it) final chord, you might be inclined to lift your tonearm and think it’s all over. But there’s more, much more! First of all, they cut a 20,000Hz tone into the vinyl, right after that last song. George Martin had been telling the band about how certain frequencies were only audible to certain species, so they decided that an untitled 14th track should be added, purely for their dogs to enjoy.
