4AD have announced an anniversary reissue of Gene Clark’s 1974 masterpiece No Other, on 8 November. One of the great cult albums of all time, the former Byrd’s finest work flopped on release and was deleted soon aft er. Five years ago, members of Beach House, Fleet Foxes, Grizzly Bear and the Walkmen toured the album to raise awareness of its enduring brilliance. the original tapes have been remastered at Abbey Road resulting in a stunning 5.1 Surround mix of the album. the takes have been mixed by Gene Clark expert, author and Long Ryders frontman Sid Griffin, and Fairport Convention and Nick Drake producer John Wood. the album is pressed on silver vinyl withan exclusive 7", poster, Blu-Ray and 80-page hardbound book, withall orders from the 4AD store including two exclusive flexi 7"s.
