SALOMON SONIC RA MAX
8/10
Part of a trio of new road shoes from Salomon, the RA Max is remarkably light for a stability trainer, weighing in at just over 230g. Built on a new road-specific last, this is a serious venture for a brand that’s made its name on the trails. Without getting too technical, the RA Max features Salomon’s new Geometric Decoupling technology which, in this shoe, provides a wider, more stable forefoot platform. The shoe also features heel collar padding which looks like it would be invasive, but actually delivers cushioning where you need it. A lightweight shoe that delivers an excellent ride.
