ANDREW KNOTT, 38, HAS USED RUNNING TO CUT FIVE STONE AND BOOST HIS CONFIDENCE

It started about five years ago.

I weighed myself and I was almost 20 stone,”says Andrew Knott, an accountant from Mitcheldean in Gloucestershire. “I loved the idea of running it off but the practice proved to be much tougher than the theory.”

Andrew had run cross-country as a kid and even joined a running club.

“But I’d piled on the pounds at university and when I started work. Because I played a bit of football I still thought I was fit.”
