When I was younger, I had dreams of becoming an Olympic skier, but there’s a distinct lack of snow in the UK – running soon became the cheaper, more accessible option.

About six years ago, I started to win a few events, got a bit quicker and started running a few more marathons. Then I thought I’d give ultras a go and discovered I was actually much better at running really long distances – rather than running fast. Since then, I’ve run marathons and ultras all over the world, but I’m definitely more about the enjoyment of running rather than the speed.
