Here we are again at the end of another year. At the beginning of 2022 we sighed with relief knowing that we got a good grip on COVID-19. The vaccination programme appeared to have made a positive impact and the healthcare system, albeit always under pressure, seemed ready to enter the much-discussed recovery mode.
We believed that the worse had probably passed, but at that exact moment, nurses – along with other clinicians – started voicing their concerns about the state of our healthcare system, the conditions of work and of course, the overdue proposed pay award.
