AME OF THRONES IRON
ANNIVERSARY SERIES ONE
This spring, collectors and fans of Game Of Thrones will be treated to the first of two parts of an all-encompassing set of trading cards commemorating the tenth anniversary of HBO’s hit adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s A Song Of Fire And Ice.
Steve Charendoff, the president of Rittenhouse Archives, shares some details, “This is going to be a two-part series of cards, celebrating the entire mythology of Game of Thrones. The first series will be released in May and the second in November. Every box will include at least two autograph cards, and at least one of those will be an inscription autograph card.” There will be signature cards of Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Sophie Turner, Lena Headey, Nicolaj Coster- Waldau, Sean Bean, Mark Addy, and dozens of other key characters from all eight seasons of this ground-breaking show. Charendoff adds, “In fact, we recently struck a deal for Emilia Clarke to sign some on-card inscription autographs, so that’s very exciting!”
Fans can also expect several high-end cards, as well as expansions of the Game of Thrones Valyrian Steel and Inflexion series, the latter of which will include 3-D Dictation cards, laser cut expansion cards, Inflexions expansion cards, character sketch cards, Battles and Blood cards, and more.
Game Of Thrones Iron Anniversary Series One is scheduled for a May release, with the second part due in time for Christmas. This set will be a great way for fans to reflect on Game of Thrones while they’re waiting for the prequel series, which starts filming this summer.
