PARKING charges in Oban raised £165,023 between April and June this year, £53,246 over the target of £111,777, Oban, Lorn and the Isles Area Committee heard in the Corran Halls on Wednesday, August 10, when Argyll and Bute Council reported its ‘area scorecard’.
Councillors were confused where the money would go: ‘We need to know more,’ said Councillor Elaine Robertson.
Councillor Roddy McCuish added: ‘We need to know where it’s gone. Since Oban, Lorn and the Isles put the money in, they should get most of the money back.’
