KATE FORBES MSP has welcomed news that the south end of the Isle of Skye will be among the communities set to benefit from a new £25million Scottish Government project to address mobile ‘notspots’.
Last week Fergus Ewing, the cabinet secretary for the rural economy and connectivity, announced the procurement process for the initiative, which will see new mobile phone masts in locations with no existing 4G coverage.
The Scottish 4G Infill Programme aims to improve mobile connectivity for communities and businesses, with the majority of the programme focusing on sites across the Highlands and Islands.
