The new A9 dual-carriageway way between Kincraig and Dalraddy opened last week.
IMPROVEMENTS to the A82 have been sacrificed to allow for the A9 dualling project, according to Highlands and Islands regional MSP John Finnie, writes Neill Bo Finlayson. Mr Finnie claims the construction programme to dual the A9 has been at the expense of upgrading Lochaber roads.
His comments come after news that the first section of the new £35 million stretch of dual-carriageway from Kincraig to Dalraddy will open to traffic in the coming days after two years of construction.
