LOCHABER families gathered together for the third annual SiMBA (Simpson’s Memory Box Appeal) butterfly release in Glen Nevis, earlier this month.
SiMBA is a charity that honours babies who have died, been stillborn or miscarried. The annual SiMBA butterfly release is a poignant event, gathering bereaved families together as they release a live butterfly in honour of the memory of the baby they couldn’t watch grow up.
SiMBA was represented by Lochaber facilitators Leah Whyte and Michael McGuire, assisted by SiMBA Highland ambassador Susan M Simpson. Ingrid Henderson and Dougie Beck provided the musical accompaniment.
