Nadia Narain recounts her experiences of teaching pregnancy yoga classes over the last 18 years at London studio triyoga

When I started the pregnancy yoga classes at triyoga over 18 years ago, we were given the smallest room for the five attending women. It didn’t take long for the class to attract a large number of women and for the session to be moved into the biggest studio at prime time on a Saturday afternoon.

It’s been quite a journey to be a part of, and although yoga wasn’t traditionally for pregnancy or women at all for that matter, it can be an integral part of a woman’s life during her pregnancy and in the postnatal phase too.
