Pacenotes Rally magazine Issue 167 - June 2018 Back Issue

Issue 167 of your favourite Rally Magazine is out now.

The front cover of the new issue features the Ford Focus of now FOUR times winner of the Manx National Rally Jason Pritchard. On a difficult event with torrential rain on the Friday night, he and Phil Clarke turned in a super performance and dominated the event.

Berian Richards tremendous Ford Escort MkII is the subject of our In My Garage this month, built by Melvyn Evans Motorsport and more recently seen at the Corbeau Stages Rally.

In Martin Holmes Wrap Up, he takes an in-depth look at the issue of chicanes in World Rallying, while his Retro column features the day the rains came to Rally Portugal.

We preview the Joule Donegal International rally too, while former Donegal Motor Club Chairman Damien Crawford casts a look over the issues of quality in the world of Rallying. It’s a feature well worth checking out.

Once again, we have rally reports a plenty this month and just some of the ones we feature include Bogie back on top at Rally Scotland, Manus Kelly taking the win at the Rally of the Lakes, Matt Edwards winning the BTRDA Plains Rally and the Tour of the Sperrins too where Desi Henry grabbed a super win. There are reports too on the BRC Pirelli and the BHRC Historic Pirelli events.

Our Business feature this month is an interesting one, where we look at Samsonas and some of the latest products they manufacture. It truly is a worldwide successful operation.

We caught up with Matt Edwards too for a quick chat and a look back at this career, while our Where Are They Now feature this month is London based Irishman Ollie O’Donovan who last competed on a rally ten years ago.

Seventeen rally reports in this issue with Club rallying the heart of the sport we feature the likes of the Cetus Stages, Harlech and Corinium Stages not to mention the Carlow Stages.
