10 MATCHA RECIPES
1 MATCHA ICE-CREAM
Mix 1 tablespoon matcha tea powder with 1-2 tablespoons hot boiling water until combined. Then add 5 large frozen bananas, 235ml (1 cup) plant-based milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and the matcha slurry to a food processor and pulse a few times to get the mixture started. Continue to process but keep checking on the texture. You want everything well combined but still firm. Serve your ice-cream drizzled with maple syrup.
2 MATCHA GRANOLA
Preheat oven to 130°C (250°F). In a large bowl, combine 300g (3 cups) rolled oats, 200g (2 cups) nuts and seeds (we recommend almonds, walnuts, peanuts and sunflower seeds) and 50g (¼ cup) brown sugar. In a separate bowl, combine 2 tablespoons oil, 80g (¼ cup) maple syrup and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. Pour over oat mixture and toss to coat. Spread mixture onto two baking trays and bake for around 1 hour. Remove from oven and scrape mixture into large bowl. Let cool then sprinkle 3 teaspoons matcha powder over the granola and toss to combine.
