May the force be with you
Star Wars fans the world over have adopted 4th May as a day to celebrate their fandom, due to the pun on the film’s famous catchphrase, “May the force be with you”. It’s believed to have originated in the UK, with an advertisement congratulating Margaret Thatcher on her election win saying “May the Fourth Be With You, Maggie.” But what’s the best way to celebrate Star Wars Day? Maybe a movie marathon of all nine films in the Skywalker saga, starting with Star Wars: A New Hope from 1977, and ending with Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker from 2019. This would take just over 20 hours, so with little sleep and no breaks, you could easily go from start to finish in just one day!
