Scottish Islands Explorer Magazine November - December 2018 Back Issue

Only €3,49
The November / December 2018 edition has a wide range of articles plus some big bargains for gifting the magazine to family and friends. Staffin Bay, Skye, features on the front cover and the Island Incidents Page as well as in the full-length item on that island’s Viking Canal. At one time this venture was an initiative, a topic that is covered in the regular Island Innovations - here on Wild at Art. Mull is the destination for those wanting to take part in the ventures of the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust.
Another new, to become a regular presentation, is Back from Beyond. The first destination is Cava, Orkney. The most revisited of the smaller Scottish islands is Colonsay. It was the home of Murdoch MacNeill and is now where the acclaimed Colonsay Gin is produced. A place to stay at the hub of an island is the Heb Hostel at Stornoway; interesting stays are available on Luing and Torsa in Argyll.
The Shiants are more difficult to reach, although compelling. They were abandoned by permanent residents as are many others which are the subject of another article. Getting around some parts of Scotland quickly can be done through Loganair. There is, however, always waiting time at airports, where the Scottish Islands Explorer crossword could help while away time and take you places, at least mentally.
