“My journey to a compassionate and cruelty-free lifestyle started when I was just nine years old when we got a pet fish! I made the connection between the sentient being we had brought into our home and the food on my plate so I started cutting animals out of my diet. Although I was taking steps in the right direction, I was still eating chicken and other processed foods. At the age of 11 I found out that I was at risk of growing up to be obese; I knew I had to take massive action for my health. The following year I turned vegetarian, started having soya milk on my cereal and cut out processed foods. I immediately started seeing an improvement in my health and weight – I lost two stone in three months and kept it off!
