Find out what’s new on the vegan menus at these popular chains this autumn

Locations throughout the UK The fi rst PizzaExpress was opened in Soho in 1965 by Italian Peter Boizot. There are now 470 restaurants!

Menu It’s great to see more than just olives or bread on the starter menu — this autumn, you can tuck into baked garlic mushrooms stuffed with vegan mozzarella. Many of their vegetarian pizzas can be made vegan (just ask), but their signature options include the Vegan Giardiniera (artichoke, mushroom, black olives and vegan mozzarella) and the Vegan Puttanesca (with jackfruit). Another autumn addition is their Leggera Vegan Roasted Veg with garlic oil and a long-awaited calzone with smoky tomato harissa and roasted peppers. For dessert, there’s four choices — two sorbets, a carrot cake and a chocolate and amaretto parfait.
