If you’re a solo rider he is definitely one to watch as this rider’s definitely got his eye on the prize… that’s because Sonam is Bhutan’s number one cyclist in a country which has fallen in love with the sport after former sovereign King Jigme Singye Wangchuck discovered his own passion for pedal power. That and the fact that Sonam has won the world’s toughest mountain bike race, the Tour of the Dragon THREE times. Live the Adventure, who along with Bhutan’s Olympic Committee is bringing Sonam over to ride Mayhem, runs adventure holidays including cycling, trekking, kayaking and white water rafting in some of the remotest parts of Bhutan. They hope Sonam’s visit will help to promote the country’s annual 268km Tour of the Dragon cycle race held in September.His Tour of the Dragon victories have earned Sonam the nickname 'Son of the Dragon'.
