Snowbirds & RV Travelers  |  October 2018
Fall Into Nature
When summer comes to an end, it seems like a natural time to put away the RV, however, the stunning scenery, cooler temperatures and thinner crowds actually make fall a perfect season to explore. With the arrival of the so-called “shoulder season”, comes a drop in campground rental rates, as well. So what are you waiting for?
The first thing to do to enjoy fall camping is to find the perfect destination. The continuing story of our Favourite Routes South will help you choose your stops if you are travelling from British Columbia to California, Nevada, or Arizona via Washington and Oregon. If you do travel to those areas we have more in-depth stories on visiting the Vasquez Rocks in California, learning how to be a cowboy in Arizona and finding free things you can do while in Nevada.
Along with choosing the right spot, we also bring you the latest in RV news, including maintenance, reviews and tech. Fall Furnace Maintenance, and our Product Showcase: Get Cozy is Fall will help you to stay comfortable this chillier season. If you are staying in the US for any length of time, our Top 5 Currency Exchange Tips is also a necessary read.
What else will you need for those outdoor adventures? Will you be hiking or climbing? Read our tips on hiking safely before you leave. Wherever you go and whatever you do, we hope you’ll share - tell us more about you by sending us a photo, writing an email or visiting us online. See page 78 for more information.
