Black Ops 4has brought big changes to Activision’s annual blockbuster – and yet, despite the controversial lack of single-player, it’s somehow still got something for everyone.
There’s definitely an element of the ‘hero shooter’ genre creeping into certain modes, especially one of the new additions: Control. Here, assorted specialists work together to control the points of the map. Perhaps you’ll pick Ruin when attacking a point, because of his grapple gun; defending, Firebreak’s reactor core will cause damage to anyone who comes near it. That these specialists are unlocked from the start is excellent, giving a far more level playing field than usual.
