The 1920s saw the introduction of the crossword, the perfection of Contract Bridge, the introduction of the doubling cube in Backgammon, and the extraordinary craze for Mah-Jong. Similarly, the Depression of the 30s ushered in a decade of games that have since become classics, like Scrabble, Lexicon, and Darrow’s version of Monopoly.
