Chelsea Art Society

Details: Entries are invited for the 72nd Open Exhibition at Chelsea Old Town Hall, King’s Road, London SW3 5EE, from June 13 to 17. This is a firmly established annual event. Awards for paintings, prints and sculpture include the Wedlake Bell Award for an artist under 35, worth £1,000; and the Julian Barrow Award for a painting, worth £500.

When: The handing-in day is Monday June 10, 8.30am to 3pm at the Chelsea Old Town Hall.

Derbyshire Open

Details: Organised by Derbyshire County Council with sponsorship from the Friends of Buxton Museum and Art Gallery, the Derbyshire Open attracts amateur and professional artists of all ages competing for a range of prizes and a place in the museum’s collection. The top prize is worth £750. An exhibition of selected work will go on show at the Buxton Museum, from July 6 to September 13. Entry information is available to download now from the website below.
