PIERRE AMOYAL

Universität Mozarteum Salzburg, Austria

After graduating aged twelve from the Paris Conservatoire, Amoyal studied in Los Angeles with Jascha Heifetz before going on to work as a soloist with conductors including Herbert von Karajan, Georg Solti and Lorin Maazel.

He returned to the Paris Conservatoire as a teacher and later became artistic director of the Lausanne Conservatoire, founding the Camerata de Lausanne string orchestra before his appointment at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg.
