THIS IS WHY YOU WON’T THINK TWICE ABOUT USING A CONDOM AGAIN…

SPONSORED BY:

PUBIC LICE

Commonly known as crabs, these will suck your blood and make you itchy down below. The adults are only 2mm long, but do not underestimate the discomfort caused by something so small! Crabs are not life-threatening and can be treated very simply with special cream, lotion or shampoo available through your GP or pharmacy. You will also need to wash all bedding, towels and clothing on a hot cycle to kill any lice and their eggs.

HOW IS IT CAUGHT?:

Any close contact with someone who has crabs can pass them on. They will happily thrive wherever they reach coarse body hair (not the hair on your head), so this could mean eyelashes, eyebrows, thick hair on the back, chest or stomach, underarm and facial hair.

SYMPTOMS: The lice are small but can be seen if you look very closely. For some people it may take a while for symptoms to show. There will be itching of the infected area; black powdery droppings; brown eggs on the hair follicles and blue dots or blood specks on your skin.
