All too often the words “sex” and “gender” are used incorrectly - one used when the other is meant. Is there a difference? I believe there to be a clear difference, possibly a little tricky to explain, but here goes
Let’s assume two classifications, male & female (M & F) and three categories - clinical or biological sex (BS), sexual orientation (SO) and gender (G).
Biological sex (BS) is the easiest to explain. In purely human reproductive terms it is the ability to produce either sperm within testicles - male biological sex (MBS) or eggs within ovaries - female biological sex (FBS).
