Trout & Salmon  |  August 2016
IT'S TIME FOR SEA-TROUT
Read much about sea-trout fishing and you might be forgiven for thinking they can only be caught in the dead of night. Not true. Stealth, river craft and perhaps a little stain in the water combined with a willingness to experiment can bring sparkling rewards in daylight. That’s good news for those of us who are unable or unwilling to hunt with the owls. After all, if you’re not exactly comfortable wading, a river can be treacherous in the dark. And sometimes a river will be so dirty that it is impossible for fish to see your flies in darkness.
We asked three experienced sea-trout anglers from different corners of Britain to explain their daytime tactics.
