Vegan Life  |  April 2017

Becoming vegan is the best decision I ever made. Once I’d learnt about animal agriculture, it was the only choice.

But despite all the benefits of being vegan, it can sometimes feel a little isolating. You may find yourself surrounded by close friends and family – people you admire and love – who sadly don’t share your values. If you’re in this situation, it can be useful to look beyond your social circle, and find vegans who inspire you.

For as long as I can remember, along with so many other vegans, I have been inspired by music legend Moby.

The photographer, writer, songwriter, and animal activist is a hugely inspiring character, who has done so much for veganism. Sitting down to chat with him was an absolute honour, and I’m happy to share the interview with you in this issue. Unsurprisingly, he had a lot to say – I’m sure you will find his words as fascinating as I did.

He’s not the only vegan I have huge admiration for. I am really excited to feature a long profile piece with Aph Ko. As a writer, academic, film producer and founder of Black Vegans Rock, Aph is surely one of the most interesting activists and thinkers on the planet right now. Find out more about her work inside.

Vegan Life readers are scattered throughout the UK – and abroad – which is why we visit areas and restaurants all over the country. We have recently visited Edinburgh, Brighton, and Sheffield. This time however, we decided we would take a trip to the nation’s capital, and focus on one specific area. Hackney is home to both a number of established and newcomer eateries. Within this London borough, you can find lots of delicious, innovative, and vegan foods to eat, and you can find out all about them inside.
For anyone who needs to know about a plant based diet and cruelty free living, Vegan Life covers vegan-friendly fashion, the latest new products, inspiring interviews with chefs, celebrities, activists and sportspeople.
Food is central to the mag, showcasing the best vegan cooks around, and covering everything from super-indulgent baking to raw food ideas, as well as nutrition advice and tips for veganizing recipes.
We share information about vegan get-togethers, the best restaurants, the best blog sites, and vegan inspired music and art.

Vegan Life is more than great tasting food, the pages are full of both new and classic products to help you navigate the high street to find animal free goods.

No matter what your current regime, Vegan Life is not short on ideas and inspiration to help you move towards a healthy, balanced, plant based lifestyle.

Best vegan magazine Reviewed Saturday, June 3, 2017
This is my favourite vegan magazine. It has a good mix of different things: interviews, articles, recipes, product reviews, etc. I find other similar magazines focus too much on just recipes but I like the balance this magazine has.

I love this magazine, much cheaper on the iPad than in the shop, I think all the articles are very informative and is very encouraging for those that lead a vegan lifestyle!
