Vegan Life  |  October 16
Welcome to the October issue of Vegan Life. We have a really special – and thought–provoking – longer read for you in this issue. Tilikum – surely one of the world’s most famous whales – has been forced to live in captivity for most of his life. Now he’s dying.
Anyone who has watched a movie or read a newspaper in the last few years will be familiar with Alan Cumming. This brilliantly outspoken and charismatic actor is well–known for his animal activism – including a recent campaign for animal charity Peta. We were delighted to sit down with him for a chat about politics, the media, and why he’s chosen to live a vegan life.
As ever, we have pulled together a selection of mouth–watering recipes for you to enjoy, including our super simple ‘vegan kitchen’ section – which has a focus on mushrooms this month. We have also found some tasty family Halloween meals. We are extremely excited to feature some recipes by a couple of our favourite vegan foodies. The first is Isa Chandra Moskowitz – her recipes simply beg to be tasted. We also have a couple of exclusives from King Cook, founder of Cook Daily and Home in Shoreditch.
