We as collectors have all at least seen a T206 card. Many of us have owned a few and have handled the cards. These little slabs of card stock are quite striking in appearance and have stood the test of time. The quality of materials used to create these cards have survived quite well and some examples look as clean and fresh as the day they were printed over 100 years ago. Examining the cards even closer and their true beauty starts to appear. They are like looking at tiny watercolor portraits that could be hanging in a museum.
A LITHOPRESS AT THE AMERICAN LITHOGRAPHIC COMPANY NEAR THE TURN OF THE CENTURY, AND VERY LIKELY THE SAME TYPE OF PRESS USED IN PRINT THE T206 CARDS FOR THE AMERICAN TOBACCO COMPANY.
