Like most sports geeks, basketball fans can be prisoners of the moment. Take, for example, the current hot debate among NBA die-hards: Who’s the best basketball player in NBA history – LeBron James or Michael Jordan?

It’s a great discussion, no doubt. LeBron has loyal supporters. Jordan has his. The debate can be dissected many different ways, and argued deep into the winter night. Both are incredibly gifted athletes, deserving of all the attention that’s come their way.

But there’s a 7-foot-2-inch, 71-year-old legend who could weigh into this argument and say, “Pump the breaks. Remember me?”
