In this column that allows me to tackle topics freely - little more than talking about more or less, basically - let me explore in depth a topic that ultimately excites me as much as a pebble in my shoe: the so-called “Verstappen efect”. In fact it happens more and more often that the brilliant career of the Dutch driver is associated with the tendency to “burn the stages”, speciically to anticipate the transition from karting to car racing as soon as possible. In other words, as soon as the 15 years of age are reached, age that is today the regulatory minimum to run with the “big four wheels”. In this regard, I therefore think it has become appropriate, if not dutiful, to clarify a few things, given the proliferation of considerations that so distort the reality of the facts that they have become veritable mystiications regarding Max Verstappen’s career.
