ROTAX JETTING APP UPDATED THE APP FOR CARBURATION OF ROTAX ENGINES

The useful application for tablets and smartphones that Rotax makes available to better adjust the carburetion of its kart engines has recently been updated. Available directly both on Google Play (for Android) and on the App Store (for Apple devices) and now in release 2.0.2, this application can be downloaded and installed for free and easily on your device (also via the attached QR codes) and is provided in English or German. By entering the data of the atmospheric conditions measured on the track or obtained from the nearest meteorological survey center (identified by GPS), such as temperature, altitude, humidity and atmospheric pressure, the theoretically best measure for the main jet is indicated, leaving little margin of error (and the possibility of “fine” adjustment through the needle and screw) in the search for the best calibration. This applies to all types of thermal engines that run in the wellknown Rotax Challenge (from Mini to DD2) in any environmental condition.

INTERVIEW
Mr. CRG freewheeling!
The interviews that Giancarlo Tinini regularly gives us at the beginning of the year are not just a way of reading CRG’s pulse, approaching as it is a competitive relaunch this forthcoming season, but also a way to better understand the dynamics of karting from those who have a different view compared to a driver or an enthusiast. He has - since always - been the builder and team manager who exposes himself most and, despite his proverbial diplomacy, spares no one
SPECIAL
WHAT IT COSTS TO BE THERE
The health emergency continues to affect the scheduling of the Championships and simply being in 2021 hardly means 2020 is now history. The cancellation of the Rotax Finals in Portimao - a consequence of the tightening of the rules by a local government - has brought back a problem with which it will probably be necessary to deal with in the immediate future. Let’s see what difficulties the pandemic continues to create in Karting worldwide, what challenges and what opportunities the year that’s just started may reserve for us

THE RISE OF MEXICAN KARTING BEGAN IN 2003
Rotax MAX Challenge Mexico started in 2003 where around 15 drivers challenged each other. Just five years later, in 2008, the RMC Mexico already had 100 drivers participating. In 2020, the number of drivers decreased through the Covid-19 pandemic, and for this year just 50 highly-motivated drivers competed in five different categories

Despite all the difficulties related to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Rotax MAX Challenge Italia 2020 was brilliantly held, which found an excellent level of competitiveness and a growing number of adhesions. The “Challenge”, always divided into two groups (North and Center-South) with a National Final on a single test, offered closely fought races in all categories, with far from obvious results and new champions who wrote their name in the trophy’s prestigious roll of honor

The new promises of Formula 1
Three drivers from the minor formulas will be making their debut in Formula 1 in 2021. The spotlight of fans and insiders will obviously be on Mick Schumacher, but Yuki Tsunoda and Nikita Mazepin have also managed to attract a lot of attention to themselves, albeit in the case of the latter, not just for on-track results
