Dramatic decadence

A neutral palette with accents of black and gold creates a stylish day

Feathers were all over the 2016 bridal collections and so it’s no surprise that they have found their way into this chic styled shoot. Pared back flowers are popular for a reason – you can go for any complementary colour scheme; dreamy pastels, fairytale whites or eye-catching brights. Here the contrasting colours are luxurious blacks and golds; rich, opulent and striking, the scheme is enhanced by blooms in muted hues, with a splash of peach for added drama.

“We wanted raw love with dramatic gowns-meets-elegant simplicity,” says stylist Helen Howells of The Wedding Bazaar. With herbaceous greens, soft greys and delicate pinks mixed with wild mushrooms, hellebore, ranunculus and eucalyptus, the bouquet had a justpicked feel to it.
