Western Angler Magazine Jun-July2018 Back Issue

English
3 Reviews   •  English   •   Sport (Fishing & Angling)
Only €7,99
The June-July 2018 edition of WA's only fishing magazine, Western Angler, is
out now and we've got your winter fishing reading covered.
As salmon season winds down in the southern half of the State, WAngler takes
readers all around our great State to look at some fantastic fishing
options.
Having expanded his horizons into small boat fishing, Gary Wotherspoon has
delivered an informative piece on inshore tactics for metro small boat
anglers, with targets like dhufish, pink snapper and samson fish on offer.
The cover shot is a cracker of a beautifully lit-up wahoo from Christmas
Island, with young CI local Flynn Cypher looking at the amazing
opportunities around his home base.
Alex Burgoyne follows the sun north to target goldband snapper in the
Pilbara and has some top tips for this great eating fish.
Veteran writer Dick Pasfield heads even farther north, trying his luck at
Kalumburu, a fishing destination which requires a lot of planning.
The WAngler project boat visits some south coast estuaries and proves an
excellent platform for this style of fishing, including on the flathead of
Wilson Inlet.
Glenn Edwards also looks at the safety options for boaters and kayakers,
with some great tips on ways to ensure you're safe in an emergency.
WA's best fishing columnists cover a range of topics, including Gamex 2018,
casting aids, the weird looking but highly effective underhead reels, the
debate between pedal and paddle power on yaks, the benefits of tournament
angling and the appearance of at least one GT in Cockburn Sound over summer.
All that and more is in the new edition of Western Angler - subscribe to get
a free Abu Garcia fishing reel!
Established in 1985, Western Angler is the benchmark for regional fishing
magazines in Australia.
