UP UNTIL RECENTLY, the Kia Sorento held the elevated position of being the brand’s flagship seven-seat SUV. Last year, though, that torch was passed on to the pure electric (and rather enormous) EV9. However, the Sorento still has a vital role in Kia’s line-up, and it’s just been updated to underline its importance.
At the front, a new vertical lighting design gives the Sorento a closer family resemblance to the EV9 and upcoming EV3, but less has changed in mechanical terms. You can still choose between a hybrid, a plug-in hybrid or a diesel engine, each of which has four-wheel drive and an automatic gearbox.
