BEN KILLED: PHIL AND KATHY'S AGONY
Albert Square is thrown into utter turmoil this week when the tragic news breaks that Ben has been involved in a terrible accident. Ian randomly answers a call on Kathy’s mobile and is thrown into a blind panic when he learns that his half brother has been rushed to hospital with critical injuries following a night out on the town. He frantically tries to find his mum, unaware that Kathy is, in fact, secretly enjoying a night of passion with Buster in a hotel far away from Walford. Giving up on his fruitless search for Kathy, a panicked Ian rushes to Phil’s and the two men dash to the hospital. But bad news looms. The pair are totally shell-shocked when, after an unbearably fraught and tense wait, the doctor informs Ian and Phil that Ben has died.
