To commemorate the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s death on 23 April 1616, the Royal Shakespeare Company is presenting a new production of his much-loved comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream. As well as playing at the RSC’s homes in Stratford-upon-Avon and at the Barbican Theatre, London, the production will be on tour between mid-March and early June, when the professional company will work with amateur groups in each venue.
To mark this special anniversary, Writing Magazine is launching a competition for a poem connected with the same play. If you want to be a part of the celebration of this amazing man’s life, why not make a start on your entry?
