Now in its fifth year, the international Bath Short Story Award is open for entries.
This year the prize money has increased, with £1,200 for the winning writer. There is a second prize of £300 and a third prize of £100, and a £100 Acorn Award for the best story by an unpublished writer. There is also a local prize of £50 in book vouchers donated by Mr B’s Emporium of Books in Bath. This year’s judge is senior literary agent Euan Thorneycroft of AM Heath.
Enter original, unpublished short stories in any style and on any theme, up to 2,200 words. All entries must be for adult or young adult readers. Type entries in a lear 12pt font in double or 1.5 spacing on numbered pages. The writer’s name must not appear on the manuscript.
