Running monthly themed competitions with a first prize of at least £50 the Txtlit Competition invites entries from anybody of any age who has a UK mobile phone. Submissions should be original stories which have not been previously published, broadcast or be entered simultaneously for any other competition.
Stories should be a maximum 160 characters to include spaces, punctuation, carriage returns and the competition keyword, in effect leaving you with a maximum 154 characters. Each entry must begin with the word STORY followed by a space. As the theme changes each month it is advised you check the relevant theme for the month of your entry. Stories will be judged on their entertainment value, construction and grammatical correctness. It is advised you do not use text-speak unless it is essential to the story. Previous winning stories can be read on the website. Entries open on the first day of each month and close at midnight on the last day of the month. There is no limit on the number of entries you can make and each will cost £1 plus the cost of a standard network text message. Send entries to 82085. Website: http://txtlit.uk/
