Southport Writers’ Circle has launched its SWC Annual Short Story Competition 2017.
The competition, which is for original, unpublished short fiction on any theme up to 2,000 words, has a first prize of £150, a second prize of £80 and a third prize of £30. Winning stories will be published online. The chief judge is Jo Reardon.
All stories must have a title. Doc, docx, rtf or odt files should have minimal formatting. The writer’s name must not appear on the manuscript. Include a separate cover sheet with details of story title, wordcount, name, address, email and telephone number.
