When Glenda Piper, 44, and husband Mike, 48, bought their 1950s home, in Kent, with children, Georgie, Gabby and Ben, they knew the dated semi required radical changes, so were well prepared for the hard work ahead. 18 months on, however, and with the major works complete, Glenda was delighted to be able to finally turn her attention to the master bedroom. ‘What I really wanted was a grown up space, where I could escape the children, and unwind after a busy day,’ she explains.
